A Casablancan met a San Franciscan at a jam night by a beach in Sydney, Australia
in the early 1990s. Abe Chikhaoui and
Larry Van Kriedt hit it off instantly and started
writing songs and performing together.
A unique combination was born with a culturally diverse sound being rooted in
North Africa and the Mediterranean with strong hints of American funk and jazz.
